My editing career started twenty years ago, when I worked for Her Majesty the Queen, at Buckingham Palace.
I am naturally pedantic, with a meticulous eye for detail and editing is the perfect profession for these qualities. As an avid reader, I also adore a compelling narrative, unexpected twists and a clear flow of ideas.
Small typos and inadvertent errors are a distraction from your otherwise amazing article or powerful story. Providing frank feedback and consistent corrections, I take your rough diamond and polish it to perfection, enabling your work to shine.
My previous experience teaching English, Literature, and Speech and Drama has given me the ability to work across a wide variety of genres and I’m honoured to be on the judging panel for the Australian Business Book Awards.
My genuine love of learning means that if I’m not busy editing a client’s work, I’m reading, voraciously, eagerly, constantly. If I can’t read a news article, magazine or book, I’ll resort to reading a pamphlet, poster or product wrapper. I can spot a spelling mistake across a crowded restaurant and enjoy clever conversations, brilliant stories and groan-worthy puns.
