Proud editor moment! Massive Congratulations to Christopher Hawkes, who has been offered a publishing deal for his novel! I edited the thrilling novel Chris wrote last year and it really stayed in my mind. I emailed him, asking how he was going with finding a publisher for it and he said he was quite discouraged and was thinking of putting it on the back burner while concentrating on his current book.
I made a few suggestions, he talked to a few more people, and a few months later, he is the proud recipient of a shiny new deal with Glimmer Press. What thrilled me most was that their response was the same as mine to the story Chris has written – it stays in your mind!
Persistence has paid off; you may be only one email away from getting your story published.
